Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 1.38% or 380.0 points to trade at 28000.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 1935.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 4.51% or 115.0 points to trade at 2435.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.91% or 40.0 points to end at 1335.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 2.18% or 860.0 points to 38520.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 2 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 2.16% or 2.85 to $129.17 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.52% or 10.50 to hit $2039.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.27 to trade at $1268.37 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.06% to 2917.70, while BRL/COP rose 0.66% to 902.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.94.
