Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 0.69% or 10.0 points to trade at 1455.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 0.47% or 10.0 points to end at 2130.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 0.33% or 30.0 points to 9030.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which lost 3.98% or 2580.0 points to trade at 62220.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 2.31% or 260.0 points to end at 11000.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 1.69% or 300.0 points to 17500.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.67% or 0.90 to $132.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.60% or 17.50 to hit $2903.00 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.49% or 6.25 to trade at $1280.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.56% to 3009.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.00% to 862.45.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.52.
