Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.62% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 2.30% or 280.0 points to trade at 12460.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.18% or 20.0 points to end at 1720.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) was up 0.78% or 10.0 points to 1290.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 2.18% or 280.0 points to trade at 12580.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.04% or 70.0 points to end at 3360.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.77% or 110.0 points to 6120.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 2.30% or 2.92 to $124.22 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.21% or 6.50 to hit $3150.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 1.46% or 17.60 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.81% to 2547.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.18% to 808.67.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.96% at 97.39.
