Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.17% or 0.4 points to trade at 18.8 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 0.92% or 240.0 points to end at 26240.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.77% or 10.0 points to 1305.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 3.42% or 620.0 points to trade at 17500.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.52% or 480.0 points to end at 18540.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.91% or 45.0 points to 2315.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 2.01% or 2.86 to $145.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 31.50 to hit $2818.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.22% or 16.40 to trade at $1357.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.79% to 3070.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.67% to 947.06.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.20% at 95.53.
