Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 4.71% or 0.8 points to trade at 17.8 at the close. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) added 1.29% or 35.0 points to end at 2750.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.94% or 40.0 points to 4300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 2.45% or 280.0 points to trade at 11160.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 1.72% or 480.0 points to end at 27440.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.58% or 90.0 points to 5620.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.95% or 5.10 to $134.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.19% or 38.50 to hit $3279.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.90 to trade at $1173.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.43% to 2558.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.33% to 825.38.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 95.47.
