Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 1.06% or 90.0 points to trade at 8590.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.41% or 80.0 points to end at 19580.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.35% or 5.0 points to 1415.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 2.43% or 380.0 points to trade at 15280.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 1.61% or 480.0 points to end at 29420.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.50% or 40.0 points to 2630.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.79% or 5.10 to $129.47 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.16% or 24.00 to hit $2085.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 10.19 to trade at $1248.51 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.57% to 2925.67, while BRL/COP fell 5.91% to 864.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 97.73.
