Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.32% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 2.11% or 240.0 points to trade at 11640.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.51% or 20.0 points to end at 1345.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 1.02% or 20.0 points to 1990.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 2.61% or 860.0 points to trade at 32140.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.54% or 780.0 points to end at 29900.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 1.41% or 280.0 points to 19600.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 4.14% or 5.05 to $116.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.74% or 32.00 to hit $1812.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.40 to trade at $1251.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.72% to 3028.21, while BRL/COP fell 0.85% to 906.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 97.25.
