Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.50% or 20.0 points to trade at 1355.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 0.52% or 80.0 points to end at 15500.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 0.41% or 0.1 points to 24.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemargos (CN:CCB), which lost 1.33% or 160.0 points to trade at 11880.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.28% or 780.0 points to end at 60000.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.13% or 30.0 points to 2615.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.70% or 0.95 to $137.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.64% or 11.50 to hit $1784.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.39% or 17.47 to trade at $1239.53 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.35% to 2930.42, while BRL/COP fell 0.53% to 927.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.19.
