Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 1.38% or 420.0 points to trade at 30920.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 0.58% or 220.0 points to end at 38260.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 0.43% or 120.0 points to 27840.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.72% or 260.0 points to trade at 9290.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 2.25% or 0.5 points to end at 21.7 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.36% or 25.0 points to 1820.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.22% or 0.33 to $149.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.98% or 22.00 to hit $2229.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.15 to trade at $1205.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.58% to 2935.36, while BRL/COP rose 0.02% to 908.95.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.83% at 101.09.
