Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 0.83% or 15.0 points to trade at 1830.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 0.67% or 4.0 points to end at 602.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 0.52% or 320.0 points to 62000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 1.53% or 180.0 points to trade at 11600.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.60% or 60.0 points to end at 10020.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 0.82% or 10.0 points to 1210.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.41% or 2.00 to $143.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.79% or 17.50 to hit $2243.00 , while the February Gold contract rose 1.33% or 15.50 to trade at $1180.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.75% to 2941.16, while BRL/COP fell 0.22% to 919.43.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.94% at 101.53.
