Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.16% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 2.64% or 280.0 points to trade at 10900.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.97% or 25.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.68% or 45.0 points to 2725.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 3.43% or 20.0 points to trade at 563.0 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 1.30% or 380.0 points to end at 28820.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 1.28% or 460.0 points to 35500.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.26% or 0.42 to $161.43 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.26% or 30.50 to hit $2394.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.75 to trade at $1224.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.16% to 3123.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.01% to 908.27.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 100.26.
