Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 0.79% or 260.0 points to trade at 33240.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 0.68% or 180.0 points to end at 26820.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.67% or 140.0 points to 21180.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.79% or 25.0 points to trade at 1375.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 0.96% or 6.0 points to end at 618.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.85% or 280.0 points to 32600.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.22% or 0.28 to $125.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.72% or 14.00 to hit $1967.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.73 to trade at $1289.77 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.79% to 2916.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.94% to 890.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 96.64.
