Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 4.07% or 700.0 points to trade at 17900.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 3.05% or 500.0 points to end at 16880.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was up 3.04% or 1120.0 points to 38020.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 4.17% or 170.0 points to trade at 3905.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 0.58% or 360.0 points to end at 61640.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 0.36% or 5.0 points to 1390.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 1.89% or 2.39 to $128.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.55% or 17.00 to hit $3087.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1268.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.51% to 2973.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.89% to 857.09.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.24.
