Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.43% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 5.45% or 75.0 points to trade at 1450.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 2.70% or 860.0 points to end at 32700.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 2.65% or 50.0 points to 1935.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 0.72% or 80.0 points to trade at 11000.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 0.06% or 20.0 points to end at 31440.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.06% or 40.0 points to 62360.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.41% or 0.55 to $134.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.15% or 42.00 to hit $1996.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.91 to trade at $1228.11 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.20% to 2920.52, while BRL/COP rose 0.25% to 934.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 99.07.
