Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 6.85% or 85.0 points to trade at 1325.0 at the close. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 3.40% or 1180.0 points to end at 35880.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 3.03% or 1040.0 points to 35340.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 1.54% or 160.0 points to trade at 10200.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 0.98% or 10.0 points to end at 1010.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 0.82% or 15.0 points to 1810.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.39% or 2.12 to $150.70 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.85% or 45.00 to hit $2382.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 1.35% or 16.05 to trade at $1174.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.80% to 3074.00, while BRL/COP fell 2.32% to 908.85.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 101.53.
