Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 8.19% or 530.0 points to trade at 7000.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 8.46% or 460.0 points to end at 5900.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 2.67% or 115.0 points to 4425.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 0.59% or 0.1 points to trade at 17.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 0.15% or 40.0 points to end at 26400.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 61000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 3 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 2.43% or 3.12 to $131.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.82% or 60.00 to hit $3362.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1154.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.30% to 2689.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.38% to 857.19.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.82.
