Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.02% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 2.23% or 600.0 points to trade at 27500.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 2.19% or 640.0 points to end at 29900.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 1.64% or 1000.0 points to 62000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.08% or 0.4 points to trade at 18.8 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 0.41% or 40.0 points to end at 9820.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 0.15% or 40.0 points to 26100.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.23 to $151.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.57% or 16.50 to hit $2898.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.93% or 12.25 to trade at $1329.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.08% to 2970.09, while BRL/COP rose 1.31% to 913.85.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 95.86.
