Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 5.85% or 340.0 points to trade at 6150.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 2.64% or 640.0 points to end at 24880.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.03% or 520.0 points to 26100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 2.44% or 110.0 points to trade at 4400.0 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 1.36% or 110.0 points to end at 8000.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 1.08% or 0.2 points to 18.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 10 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 2.24% or 2.90 to $132.15 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.88% or 57.50 to hit $3122.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.90 to trade at $1193.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.39% to 2553.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.40% to 814.38.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.54% at 96.02.
