Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 6.62% or 145.0 points to trade at 2335.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 2.94% or 300.0 points to end at 10500.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.83% or 320.0 points to 11620.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 0.54% or 10.0 points to trade at 1855.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 0.52% or 100.0 points to end at 19000.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 0.10% or 20.0 points to 20180.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 4 and 9 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.31% or 0.37 to $121.42 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.52% or 15.00 to hit $2902.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1225.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.13% to 3081.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.89% to 846.50.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 94.49.
