Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.49% or 35.0 points to trade at 1440.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 2.16% or 40.0 points to end at 1890.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 1.82% or 200.0 points to 11200.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 8.86% or 390.0 points to trade at 4010.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.45% or 380.0 points to end at 25820.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 0.56% or 100.0 points to 17880.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 2.81% or 3.65 to $133.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.78% or 53.00 to hit $2920.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1275.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.16% to 2992.35, while BRL/COP rose 0.93% to 853.74.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 94.55.
