Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA), which rose 3.32% or 180.0 points to trade at 5600.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 2.46% or 600.0 points to end at 25000.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 2.42% or 560.0 points to 23680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 3.61% or 120.0 points to trade at 3200.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 2.84% or 260.0 points to end at 8910.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 1.66% or 540.0 points to 32000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 14 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.83% or 1.00 to $121.83 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.53% or 16.50 to hit $3088.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.36% or 15.50 to trade at $1122.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.85% to 3207.90, while BRL/COP fell 0.53% to 889.70.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.39% at 95.22.
