Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.47% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA), which rose 3.71% or 440.0 points to trade at 12300.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.31% or 200.0 points to end at 8850.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 2.28% or 1380.0 points to 61900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 2.34% or 45.0 points to trade at 1875.0 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 1.48% or 440.0 points to end at 29380.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 0.88% or 100.0 points to 11200.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.75% or 1.02 to $136.40 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.41% or 8.00 to hit $1952.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.58 to trade at $1219.68 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.16% to 2943.98, while BRL/COP fell 0.45% to 929.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 99.51.
