Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 3.13% or 380.0 points to trade at 12540.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 2.35% or 55.0 points to end at 2395.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.18% or 45.0 points to 3865.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 1.29% or 140.0 points to trade at 10720.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.85% or 80.0 points to end at 9320.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 0.75% or 10.0 points to 1330.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.35% or 0.50 to $141.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.72% or 20.50 to hit $2863.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.51% or 20.00 to trade at $1348.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.69% to 3082.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.98% to 943.64.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 96.78.
