Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.42% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.56% or 520.0 points to trade at 33920.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.49% or 20.0 points to end at 1360.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.29% or 400.0 points to 31300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 0.07% or 20.0 points to trade at 27080.0 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 0.79% or 260.0 points to end at 32740.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 0.51% or 80.0 points to 15500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.49% or 1.88 to $123.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 2.14% or 43.50 to hit $1984.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.35 to trade at $1256.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.70% to 2973.71, while BRL/COP rose 0.25% to 903.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 97.12.
