Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.13% or 310.0 points to trade at 10220.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.82% or 25.0 points to end at 1395.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.75% or 660.0 points to 38460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 2.44% or 45.0 points to trade at 1800.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 0.94% or 120.0 points to end at 12700.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 0.55% or 60.0 points to 10840.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.57% or 4.86 to $140.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.72% or 21.50 to hit $3004.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.82% or 10.85 to trade at $1313.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.22% to 2990.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.46% to 905.05.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.50% at 96.07.
