Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 2.08% or 580.0 points to trade at 28460.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.78% or 20.0 points to end at 1145.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.17% or 300.0 points to 25880.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.18% or 180.0 points to trade at 8080.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.01% or 240.0 points to end at 23560.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 0.68% or 80.0 points to 11600.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 2.02% or 2.92 to $141.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.51% or 11.00 to hit $2168.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1247.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.23% to 2919.85, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 943.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 99.45.
