Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Agriculture and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.36% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 1.83% or 1100.0 points to trade at 61100.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.82% or 260.0 points to end at 14560.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.63% or 65.0 points to 4065.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.65% or 360.0 points to trade at 9490.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 2.55% or 0.5 points to end at 19.1 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.34% or 25.0 points to 1845.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.67% or 0.97 to $146.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.61% or 17.50 to hit $2905.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.85 to trade at $1311.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.77% to 2943.20, while BRL/COP rose 1.20% to 912.17.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.04.
