Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.67% or 350.0 points to trade at 9880.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.03% or 25.0 points to end at 1255.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 1.08% or 0.2 points to 18.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 0.53% or 20.0 points to trade at 3780.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 0.51% or 60.0 points to end at 11620.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 0.45% or 120.0 points to 26380.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.53% or 0.75 to $141.48 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.91% or 27.50 to hit $3037.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.55 to trade at $1340.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.33% to 2995.00, while BRL/COP fell 2.45% to 945.21.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 96.33.
