Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.11% or 0.2 points to trade at 18.2 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.02% or 100.0 points to end at 9900.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.97% or 180.0 points to 18680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 1.01% or 180.0 points to trade at 17640.0 in late trade. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) declined 0.99% or 380.0 points to end at 37920.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.67% or 180.0 points to 26700.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.70% or 1.02 to $146.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.57% or 17.00 to hit $2989.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 1.75% or 23.15 to trade at $1343.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.46% to 2933.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.08% to 907.90.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.77.
