Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 2.07% or 380.0 points to trade at 18780.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 1.82% or 320.0 points to end at 17900.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 1.69% or 0.3 points to 18.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 4.39% or 450.0 points to trade at 9810.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 1.39% or 200.0 points to end at 14200.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.38% or 25.0 points to 1785.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.71% or 1.03 to $145.55 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.98% or 60.00 to hit $2972.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1325.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.15% to 2920.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.64% to 910.45.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 95.94.
