Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Public Services, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.65% or 30.0 points to trade at 1845.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.49% or 25.0 points to end at 1705.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 1.14% or 260.0 points to 23040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 3.66% or 440.0 points to trade at 11580.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 3.31% or 0.6 points to end at 17.5 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.40% or 150.0 points to 6100.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 14 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.75% or 1.02 to $137.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.59% or 18.50 to hit $3094.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1175.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.03% to 2557.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.66% to 824.07.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.17.
