Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.00% or 40.0 points to trade at 1375.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.52% or 460.0 points to end at 30700.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.03% or 25.0 points to 2445.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 3.65% or 1000.0 points to trade at 26360.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) declined 1.21% or 15.0 points to end at 1220.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.13% or 700.0 points to 61500.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 2.65% or 3.32 to $128.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.67% or 13.50 to hit $1990.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1282.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.16% to 2900.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.06% to 881.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 96.76.
