Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.48% or 20.0 points to trade at 1370.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) added 0.83% or 10.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 0.98% or 0.2 points to 20.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 9.21% or 350.0 points to trade at 3450.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 1.41% or 15.0 points to end at 1050.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 1.07% or 200.0 points to 18500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.04% or 0.06 to $142.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.10% or 24.50 to hit $2256.00 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.57% or 6.45 to trade at $1136.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.12% to 3006.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.68% to 885.05.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 102.92.
