Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.51% or 35.0 points to trade at 2350.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.34% or 25.0 points to end at 1895.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.05% or 200.0 points to 19180.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 3.11% or 360.0 points to trade at 11200.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 2.32% or 1440.0 points to end at 60640.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 1.87% or 25.0 points to 1315.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.26% or 0.43 to $165.45 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.95% or 26.00 to hit $2755.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 6.00 to trade at $1275.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2961.62, while BRL/COP fell 1.11% to 923.63.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.62% at 98.31.
