Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.09% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 2.47% or 340.0 points to trade at 14100.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.60% or 30.0 points to end at 1900.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.58% or 460.0 points to 29660.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.96% or 190.0 points to trade at 9500.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.07% or 120.0 points to end at 11100.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 0.74% or 10.0 points to 1335.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.47% or 2.22 to $153.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.12% or 32.50 to hit $2930.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 2.06% or 27.35 to trade at $1354.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.22% to 2867.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.99% to 892.67.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.95% at 94.83.
