Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Public Services, Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 1.02% or 20.0 points to trade at 1990.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 0.94% or 100.0 points to end at 10740.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was up 0.88% or 120.0 points to 13760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 1.12% or 240.0 points to trade at 21160.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 1.03% or 120.0 points to end at 11540.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 0.74% or 10.0 points to 1340.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.02% or 0.03 to $125.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.47% or 9.50 to hit $2028.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.52% or 19.33 to trade at $1256.57 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.94% to 2952.92, while BRL/COP rose 0.95% to 901.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 97.48.
