Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 21.53% or 435.0 points to trade at 2455.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 1.67% or 440.0 points to end at 26860.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.44% or 340.0 points to 23880.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 1.16% or 200.0 points to trade at 17000.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.12% or 0.2 points to end at 17.6 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 0.93% or 100.0 points to 10700.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 3.42% or 4.20 to $127.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.28% or 39.00 to hit $3012.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 2.79% or 33.85 to trade at $1246.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 3.64% to 3012.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.77% to 854.54.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.72% at 93.92.
