Chesnara PLC (LON:CSN) announced two senior leadership appointments which it said will boost its M&A and commercial capabilities.
The European life insurance consolidator has appointed Al Lonie, currently group company secretary, as the group chief of staff. In his new role, Lonie will help to drive and oversee the group's wider strategic agenda and delivery, including driving value from acquisitions, Chesnara said in a statement.
Lonie will continue to be a member of the group executive committee.
In addition, the company has appointed Amanda Wright as group general counsel and company secretary. Wright will be responsible for providing commercial and legal advice on strategic development, as well as supporting governance.
She will also be a member of the group executive committee.
Wright will join Chesnara later in the year. She has 15 years of experience in the financial services sector and has most recently been head of strategic relationships at abrdn PLC.
