Proactive Investors - For the first time ever, UK shoppers will able to buy Avon cosmetics in shops after the mail order group signed a historic deal with make-up chain Superdrug.
More than 150 Avon beauty and cleansing products will be available in-store at the retailer.
Angela Cretu, Avon’s chief executive, said: “This is the perfect moment in the UK for a strategic alliance between Avon and Superdrug.”
Famously the “Avon Lady” (and men) only sold products by catalogue, door-to-door but now around 100 Superdrug shops across the UK will stock its range.
Some items will also be available online through Superdrug.com.
“We see this partnership as our next move to expand our reach with best-selling, award-winning products that enable women to feel good without breaking the bank,” said Cretu.
Simon Comins, chief commercial officer at Superdrug, added: “With 137 years of history in the beauty industry, we’re proud to be Avon’s first and only retail partner in the UK and continue to offer high-quality brands with exceptional value to our customers.”
Avon has been owned by Brazilian beauty giant Natura since 2019.
