Salam International Transport and Trading Company provides solutions and services to the shipping, logistics and transportation, oil and gas logistics and construction, catering and life support services, and construction and real estate industries in Jordan. It owns and operates a fleet of vessels, including barges, RoRo's, passenger ships, multipurpose vessels, and Panamaxes; manages vessels comprising high speed crafts, container ships, bulk carriers, and livestock carriers and oil tankers; and operates Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies, a private institution located in Abu Nusair. The company also provides canvassing and cargo booking solutions for third party shippers and ship-owners; and marine, vessel traffic management, and ship way services, as well as hydrographic surveys to various vessels visiting the Port of Aqaba. In addition, it offers land transportation services, such as multi-modal transportation, warehousing and storage, sea and land ports cargo handling, custom clearance, and inland haulage services for various types, sizes, and weights of cargoes; and freight forwarding, storage and handling, heavy lifts, and support services. Further, the company is involved in the handling and storage of petro products and chemicals, oil and gas transportation and logistics, and supply activities; the provision of catering services to specialized projects, maritime companies, industrial institutions, container terminals, corporate firms, and commercial audiences; hospitality support services; general trading services; and real estate investment and development activities. Additionally, it undertakes construction and civil works/projects. The company was incorporated in 1977 and is headquartered in Amman, Jordan.
