LONDON (Reuters) -Wizz Air's slightly lowered net income guidance for its financial year to March 31 in a trading update on Thursday.

The budget airline said earnings were in line with new guidance of between 350 million euros ($375 million) and 370 million euros, having previously guided in a range of 250 million to 400 million euros.

Full-year revenue was expected in the range of 5 million to 5.1 million euros, also in line with expectations.

Wizz Air (LON:WIZZ) shares rose 5.5% in early trade.

A statement from Chief Executive Jozsef Varadi said the carrier benefited from sustained demand as it negotiated challenges including geopolitical unrest, an engine recall and air traffic control disruption.
