Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Energy & Utilities and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 9.40% or 1.65 points to trade at 19.20 at the close. National Gas & Industrialization Co (SE:2080) added 8.92% or 2.80 points to end at 34.20 and Hail Cement Company (SE:3001) was up 6.64% or 0.75 points to 12.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which lost 2.13% or 0.30 points to trade at 13.80 in late trade. Electrical Industries Co (SE:1303) declined 1.92% or 0.50 points to end at 25.50 and Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) shed 1.85% or 0.50 points to 26.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 40 and 11 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.70% or 0.37 to $53.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.71% or 0.39 to hit $55.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.05 to trade at $1212.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.15% to 4.0308, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 100.24.
