Malaysia shares lower at close of trade; FTSE Malaysia KLCI down 0.12%

Investing.com – Malaysia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Plantation and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Kuala Lumpur, the FTSE Malaysia KLCI fell 0.12%.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 308 to 260 and 38 ended unchanged on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.01% or 0.46 to $45.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.07% or 0.51 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1166.70 a troy ounce.

SGD/MYR was down 0.25% to 3.0756, while USD/MYR fell 0.40% to 4.2825.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.18.
