Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.86% or 0.5 points to trade at 18.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 2.54% or 660.0 points to end at 26660.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 2.24% or 380.0 points to 17380.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 2.52% or 300.0 points to trade at 11600.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.63% or 30.0 points to end at 1810.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.13% or 700.0 points to 61000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.10% or 4.22 to $131.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.75% or 23.50 to hit $3093.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.60 to trade at $1181.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.53% to 2539.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.16% to 819.83.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.92.
