The company offers general insurance products comprising comprehensive cover, workers’ compensation, theft/burglary, fire standard, public liability, house owners, contractors all risks, erection all risks, machinery loss of profits, marine cargo, marine hull, aviation liability, machinery breakdown, goods in transit, professional indemnity, travel, employers liability, computer/electronic equipment, plate glass, aircraft crew personal accident, and contractors plant and machinery. It also provides life insurance products and services, such as individual and group life, education endowment, dividend plus plan, mortgage plus and protection, personal pension and annuity, health and medical, comprehensive insurance package, group employees benefit, annuity contract plan, group assurance plan, nic career plan, microfinance care plan, and family last expenses plan. Further, the company provides rental services, including office accommodation, residential accommodation, and car parking space. The company was formerly known as National Insurance Corporation Limited and changed its name to NIC Holdings Limited in October 2014. The company was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Kampala, Uganda. NIC Holdings Limited operates as a subsidiary of Industrial and General Insurance Plc.
