African Oxygen Limited, together with its subsidiaries, manufacture and distribution of industrial gases and welding products in South Africa and other African countries. The company is involved in the large gas, supply schemes, bulk industrial gas, packaged cylinder gases, welding products, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) businesses. Its products include medical gas products, scientific gases, refrigerants, packaged chemicals and helium, gases and services, and safety products and services. The company also engages in the distribution of LPG; rental of tanks and cylinders; financing business; and provision of gas and welding equipment. In addition, it acts as engineering merchant, contractor, and manufacturer. The company was founded in 1927 and is headquartered in Sandton, South Africa. African Oxygen Limited operates as a subsidiary of Linde plc.
